CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

The arena higher education in India possesses a valuable heritage with historic institutions like Dev Samaj who have stood the test of time for more than a century with a priceless inheritance of 131 years. Dev Samaj College of Education for Women, named after Bhagwan Dev Atma Ji, was established to propagate the cherished ideals of service, leadership, social responsibility, and academic pursuits for women. This visionary culture allows and emphasizes our students not only to adapt to the present day challenges but, to also take on individual responsibilities to the society and our nation at large.

I always feel that education is the foundation on which emancipated societies are built, where all citizens, men or women get equal opportunities to grow, prosper, explore their fullest potential and realize their dreams. Present day Education is marked by intellect, specialized knowledge and cut-throat competition. Alongwith specialized knowledge we focus on moral values and scientific temper.

With the world now in the grip of Covid-19 situation, we all find ourselves in the midst of time that may make some of us a little apprehensive about the future of education and teaching- learning process. Let me take this opportunity to assure you, dear students and parents, Our institution is committed to provide all possible access to facilities and support students in novel ways. To ensure continuity of teaching – learning process, online classes, online competitions and series of webinars were organized during the lockdown period.

On the occasion of releasing the Prospectus, I heartily congratulate the able, strong minded and progressive advisory committee of DSCEW that has spared no effort to bring about change in such a transformational manner that Dev Samaj College Education for Women has been reaccredited by as ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. I also congratulate the faculty, students, and parents for having done us proud. I wish that one day, despite so many constraints, DSCEW would rise to the highest pinnacle of glory and excellence in the field of education.

I would like to appreciate the role of our academic and administrative staff, who had been readily available to reach out to our students in giving their support and guidance.
Lastly, I extend my warm wishes to the Principal, Staff and Students to continue the journey on the road of excellence.
